Six Militant bodies buried in snow in JK recovered by Indian Army

Udhampur, July 3  – According to defence spokesperson that Infiltration attempts made by militants in Gurez sector in March this year during heavy snow conditions resulted in 6 to 8 terrorists getting buried in an avalanche.

Defence spokesman, Col DK Kachari said in Udhampur that the bodies of militants could not be retrieved due to heavy accumulation of snow. With the melting of snow bodies of six terrorists have been recovered and the search is on to locate balance bodies.

He said , It is evident from the photographs that the terrorists were well equipped and clothed to infiltrate through the snow laden ridge lines of North Kashmir. Six AK- 47 rifles have also been recovered.
