Sri Lanka Removes Security Restrictions for Jafna Civilians

Sri Lankan Government today announced that the Special  Security Clearence which is a must for Jafna Civilians who are reaching Colombo via Land Routes is no longer needed from today onwards.Now the Jafna Civilians can travel to Colombo freely by producing only their National Identity Card or someform  of Identification Paper  Government Information Department quoting the Government said in a Statement.

Due to the Terrorist Threats People in Jafna and Northern Sri Lanka are subjected for a Special Security Clearence in the Past two decades when they are traveling to Colombo the Capital of Sri Lanka.
