They alleged that the Omar Abdullah-led National Conference and Congress Government in Jammu and Kashmir was a "total failure in all aspects," and flayed it for not providing basic amenities to the people of the Kargil district.

Passengers accused Omar Abdullah and Farooq Abdullah for playing with the sentiments of Kargil people  over the sensitive issue of Air Service and Zojila Tunnel. Due to cancellation of Air Service from last 3 week people from low-income groups including students were finding it difficult to meet their daily expenses.

The state government had failed to provide AN32 Air Service for Stranded Passenger of Kargil while government is quite unresponsive to looking into the problems faced by them, stranded passengers added.

They said that we are demanding for immediate operation of IL 76 Aircraft from Jammu to Leh on Saturday 13th April. If State Govt. unable to operate IL76 Aircraft from Jammu to Leh than open Srinagar Kargil National Highway immediately passenger added. Majorty of standard passenger is from student community.

Where as in view of continued cancellation of AN32 Courier Service Kargil from last 3 week, State Government made special arrangements for operation of IL-76 Indian Air Force Aircraft between Jammu and Leh on 12th April for stranded passengers of Kargil and ask standard passengers at Jammu to report Kargil House Jammu at 6 am on Thursday, the 12th April, but unfortunately on that day at around 8:30 authorities after finishing all secutiry check announce that IL76 Aircraft is cancelled. Therefore all the standard passenger of Kargil stage protest here at Jammu Airport against State Govt., Central Govt. and Hill Council Kargil for non avaliability of IL76 Aircraft.

 A stranded Passenger namely Mohammad Baqir said that State Govt. yesterday announced that they depute 2 IL76 aircraft for standard passenger of Kargil from Jammu to Leh and told the S stranded Passengers to reach Kargil House Jammu at 6 AM, but unfortunately it was cancelled due to some unknown reason. There are more than 400 stranded passenger of Kargil here in Jammu, he added.
