Tempted.

It never seems to take long for American liberals to bear their claws.  Bill Clinton did it to Barak Obama during the primaries.  And now, liberals of all stripes are doing it to Sarah Palin.  Just when it looked like things were going to quiet down for the anniversary of 9/11, Matt Damon starts in.  And the Palin interview did not help.

This is the classic problem for American liberals.  Beneath the calm, yoga-infused exterior liberals are still the angry, belligerent mob they have always been.  And when it comes to conservatives, especially Christians, liberals are unable to resist themselves--the temptation is too great.  They cannot let go of the negative stereotypes.

Those negative stereotypes bury the liberal viewpoint beneath a flood of negativity and anger.  Ultimately, they reveal the liberal inability to accept people of faith.  It is an emotional response that they seem to have no control over, and it galvanizes resistance.  Others see the anger towards religion as intolerant and repugnant.

And that is why Obama is struggling.
