Clash of titans gets washed in Rain

This was one clash that was the most eagerly awaited one among all the IPL-2 fixtures being currently held in the beautiful environs of South Africa.

And the day arrived too; the designated date of 21^st April, 2009 at Kingsmead Stadium in Durban. The whole stadium was packed with fans waiting for the Old rivalry between the 2 legends Shane Warne and Sachin Tendulkar to finally begin.

The umpires too arrived in the stadium; and so did the two stalwarts of the game with their respective teams; Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians. The media too arrived in full strength ready to catch the action between these 2 old competitors.

But there was one more thing that arrived uninvited along with all others; the persistent rain at Durban, which kept coming and coming till the time the game had to be called off without a single ball being bowled.

It was a great disappointment indeed for all the fans who had come thronging the stadium at Kingsmead in Durban to catch a glimpse of these 2 greats of the game.

Finally, Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals had to contend with sharing equal points from the washed away encounter.
