65-year Old Man was Crushed to Death and around 40 People Injured in Road Accident

A 65-year old man was crushed to death and around 40 people injured, two of them seriously, in two separate road accidents near Kannur, Kerala.

Mathai was caught under the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation bus it was being taken for parking at the Municipal bus stand in Taliparamba, 22 km from kannur, around noon.

In the other mishap, at least 40 people were injured in a head-on collision involving a bus and a Maruthi car near Mangad on the Taliparamba-Kannur route.

The private bus proceeding to Kannur turned turtle after hitting the speeding car, they said adding the seriously injured were taken to the Pariyaram Medical College Hospital.
