Human Papilloma virus

In the 1970, sex used to be dreaded to to sexually transmitted diseases like syphilis or gonorrhea. It was up to the 1980, that condom use became popular. It is at the same time that HIV/AIDs started getting attention. To date, many people thank the inventor of condoms since many people are free of risk of getting infected.

Recently, there has been an increase in cases of cervical cancer, penile cancer, and vulva cancer. It seems that thecausative agent for the, Human Papilloma Virus can pass through a condom and cause precancerous states in an individual. In as much as some people believe condoms are 99% effective, these statistics need changes to incorporate this deadly virus.
