Flu Symptoms, Types, and Complications of the Flu

What are the most  common flu symptoms? What is the difference between a flu and a cold? Get more informations about the warning signs of  flu so you can prevent flu complications, that can be mild or severe .

The flu virus can settle anywhere in the respiratory tract, producing symptoms of a cold, croup, sore throat, bronchiolitis, ear infection, or pneumonia.

You will know for sure when the flu season started because flu symptoms usually come on suddenly.Some of them could be:

•  -fever (usually high)
• -severe aches and pains in the joints and muscles and around the eyes
• -warm, flushed skin and red, watery eyes
• -headache
• -dry cough
• - high-grade fever up to 104 degrees F (40 degrees C), chills, muscle aches, headaches, sore throat, dry cough, and just plain feeling sick.
• Stomach symptoms, such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, may also occur but are more common in children than adults ;
• Extreme tiredness
• The complications  that could result from a common flu are:  bacterial pneumonia, ear infections, sinus infections, dehydration, and worsening of chronic medical conditions such as congestive heart failure, asthma, or diabetes,lethargy (drowsy, unresponsive, limp or floppy)
• Loss of appetite
• Fatigue
• Dizziness
• Worsening of underlying illness, such as asthma or heart failure

You will feel an overall wickness for about3-4 weeks.Young children, senior citizens and people with chronic illnesses are at greatest risk.
