JK Minister reviews ongoing works of hospitals in Srinagar
Srinagar,March 21 (Scoop News) – Minister for Medical Education, R. S. Chib today morning convened a meeting of senior health officers and discussed many issues relating to the medicare being provided to the patients and reviewed the pace and progress of the presently undergoing construction works at different hospitals in Srinagar city.

After reviewing the pace of work of the department, the Minister called on the officers for speedy completion of the additional block of Lal Ded hospital so that it so utilized to overcome the heavy pressure being faced by the hospital and the patients are accommodated in the newly constructed blocks in a proper manner.
Meanwhile, the Minister impressed upon the medicos to dedicate themselves for providing better and on time proper medical relief to the patients and asked them to protect this noble cause at all costs.
On the occasion, he reiterated the commitment of the coalition government under the dynamic leadership of young Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah for bringing overall betterment in the essential services in the hospitals particularly like adequate potable water, uninterrupted power, central heating, air conditioning and latest medical equipments.
Later, the Minister visited G.B. Panth hospital and took stock of the medical facilities and other development works of the hospital on which Rs. 1.10 crore are being spent during the current financial year. He also went round some wards and get feedback from patients about the medical facilities available. The Minister after inspection said that the children hospital is being equipped with all the latest machines so that the patients do not face any more difficulty in taking medicare from the hospital.
