Lightning Claims One Life

One person died after lightning struck him as heavy unseasonale rains lashed parts of the northern districtof Kerala, damaging a few houses today.

K Kunhikannan (58), sleeping near his under construction building, was charred to death when lightning struck him at nearby Poinachy.

As many as nine houses were damaged in parts of the district. A few trees also got uprooted, disrupting traffic on the National Highway for some time near Kanhangad town.
