Now Sick People Can Be Identified Through The Sound Of Their Coughs

If you are concerned about contracting some illness by catching a virus while travelling on flight with a sick person,then you have got a new technology that may help.

A Belgium based company called Biorics,has innovated on a way to identify passengers who may be infected with a pandemic virus.This is done by just analysing the sound of their coughs.

A team in the company has been working on this new technology for some time now.According to them,installing microphones in areas like airport departure lounges would help detect and diagnose different types of coughs.The output from the microphone would be processed,background noise eliminated in order to reveal the sound spikes of coughs.These are also termed as bioresponses.

After capturing these bioresponses,smart algorithms would identify whether the noise is a harmless throat clearing or a cough that may signal some infection.Also the loudness of the a cough in different microphones would help in locating the spot of the infected person.

The application of this sofware would be in Government and Health agencies who can use the information from several users to gain insights into the spread of respiratory diseases.

The company,it is heard,has also filed a patent for this software.
