Quake in Indonesia, India: Tsunami Alerts in Asia

Kerala, India (GroundReport) - According to news reports online, a tsunami warning has been issued by the government of Indonesia, following a 8.9 quake. Tremors were felt elsewhere. In India, tremors rattled residents in Bangalore, Delhi and Chennai.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has issued a tsunami warning for the entire region, including Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka, Australia, Myanmar, Thailand, the Maldives and other Indian Ocean islands, Malaysia, Pakistan, Somalia, Oman, Iran, Bangladesh, Kenya, South Africa and Singapore, reports yahoonews.
