A Unique Loneliness
For those who feel loneliness, they only know that there is no one else who can feel like that. Though it is impossible to have such a feeling of being left out as the one and only person. As there are definitely other people, whom we might not know of course, but who are perhaps as lonely as we are, or perhaps even more. But if a lonely person would be asked to tell the extent of his or her loneliness or what is the depth of it, he or she would say that it is a feeling like none other and a feeling that he or she alone can have.
The reason for feeling lonely in a unique way is mainly because each and every one of us has our individual personality and individual distinction, which when meets our own selves, makes us realize that we are unique, and hence is each and every feeling that ensues. Thus is the case with our feelings of loneliness. Is it a mental illness or an emotional illness? Or whether it is an illness at all? Should it be just taken as another phase of life? A phase which shows another side of the coin, tells another part of the story never heard or known before to oneself. May be the later is the closest to the description of what possibly loneliness is.
It is something of a state, whether for some it being a mental state or for some being an emotional one, where despite having people around we feel lonely and left out. We feel different very strongly and this condition of being unable to find anything relative to what we are makes us feel alone. Is it good or bad that depends on what you alone would make of it. There is no judging in loneliness. No one is there to tell, no one is there to point anything out. In fact, sometimes loneliness gets us to the level where we don’t even relate to our own selves. We become estranged to things around, to people around, and to the self within us. This is the loneliness at its most devastating form.
How to survive then, what to make of the life itself then in such loneliness? Well, the answer is in life itself. It is in living and continuing to live despite no matter how much lonely one feels. Because till we have life itself, we have something with us. Life itself is the only partner that never leaves, and when it does, suddenly we have nothing more left. So live life and do not feel lonely, since there are at least two constant partners, one is life and the other is your very inner self. They only leave you when death comes; since they are the only constant partners. And between life and your inner self lives hope of survival. This very hope is the life line and the fuel that charges your energy to move on and get along with life; never to look back negatively and always to look ahead positively. At least learn to reflect upon this fact in lonely, it can be a great teacher to some, and to others a bad image to look up to.
