Advance Booking on Trains increased to 120 days

Come March'10, the Indian railways will be allowing advance reservations on trains upto 120 days from 90 days as at present. This step is being taken on an experimental basis as per commercial department circular of railways.

The railway claims that this step would ensure better planning of travel by the passengers.

However for some short distance trains, there will be no change and the advance reservation would continue to be 15 days as at present. Further there would also be no change in the advance booking limit of 360 days for foreign tourists.
