Charsadda girl students asked to observe ‘Pardah’
Peshawar: Talking to media persons at Charsadda press club, Executive district officer (Education), Aqeela Niaz said that they had directed all the teachers and students of girls schools to observe ‘pardah’ to ensure their safety.
“Getting education by womenfolk is the need of the hour but wearing ‘burqa’ does not impede someone’s way to achieve that goal,” the official added.
Meanwhile, the EDO called on the District Police Officer (DPO) Waqif Khan and apprised him of the emerging situation in the district.
Sources said that militants also made announcements through loudspeakers in different mosques of Shabqadar tehsil, warning the womenfolk not work in the fields.
