Dave Van Dyck of CNBC Dies After Cancer Battle

Dave Van Dyck, a veteran producer and director at CNBC, died Friday night after a long battle with cancer. Dave Van Dyck-- whose full name is David Van Dyck-- started as a technical assistant and worked his way up to direct "The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch" and "The Call."

TVNewser reported the loss of Dave Van Dyck first, saying that a colleague said,  "Most of all he had great respect for the techs working with him. He will be missed."

Dave Van Dyck was just 39 when he lost his battle with cancer.
