Free At Last. Free At Last. Thank you God. I'm Free At Last.

@ 12:01:00 a.m. E.S.T. Thursday, January 31, 2013; this Canadian man officially becomes 65 years of age,  and a senior citizen,  with the right if I so choose, to retire from the rat race known as the workforce, if I so choose to do so. Hip Hip Hurray! let the bells ring out and the choirs sing for I am free, free at last, to do as I please.

For the last 50 years, I have struggled, and pushed myself in the workforce while also putting myself through high school, and University to earn a worthless piece of paper my degree.

For the past 50 years I have had to bend over backwards to please those who called themselves my boss, even when I knew more than they did about the everyday operations of the company.

For the past 50 years I have had to bite my tongue and keep the peace between bosses, as well as fellow employees, co-workers, inorder to keep employed and earn a good living.

For the past 50 years I have worked like a slave giving my blood sweat and tears for a pay check, yet being under valued, and never getting paid for what I was truly worth considering my knowledge, wisdom, skills, and abilities.

Hooray for me! I don't know what I might do, but finally I do know that I am free to do what I will, so long as it pleases My God, and by God that is what I will do.
