Healthy life style

We need to note the various components of health mentioned here.

It is important that a person is holistically healthy.

To give an example, a person may be in perfect physical health, but may be addicted to alcohol. Can we call him a healthy person?

A mentally disturbed person may not have any physical health problems. Does it make him healthy?

A person who is under tremendous stress working 16 hours a day –our modern high –flying executive –may not have any physical but does it make healthy?

 What is healthy life circle?

Recognition of what went wrong

*Frequent appraisal of change mode

*Analysis where we are wrong

*Corrective measures to steer to the right path

 Why healthy life style?

As we know the consequences of unhealthy life style on the body, mind and family and society, is it not imperative that we start moving towards a healthier living?

 *Healthy life style can:

Prevent-Postpone

Consequence of unhealthy life style

This approach is advantageous because it is:

*Possible

*Safe

*Inexpensive

If we do not bother to steer our life styles to `healthy’ ways of living then we will have to repair the damage caused by a number of meas.

 Treatment of the consequence is:

*Ineffective

*Unsafe

*Expensive

What should we aim at? Are we going to lives as we want, abuse the body and mind, and then try to treat and repair the damage? Or are we going to take the preventive route? Wise men down the ages have said `prevention is better than quire’. It is choice to make good of this advice.
