MARRIAGE, SEX & DIVORCE, THE THREE ARE BENEFICIAL TO WOMEN
In most of the nations around the world, Marriage, Sex and Divorce the three tasks are mostly beneficial to women rather than men, as per the social and legal norms prevelant. If a women got married she would get the respectable status in the society as ‘married women’ and would get a husband for ‘legitimate sex’ and she would become mother of his children and she would become heir for his properties after his death, and she would get employment in husband’s office under compassionate grounds as a widow and also insurance benefits.
Suppose if a woman is deserted by her husband, she would get monthly maintenance from husband for deserting her and her children. And if husband seeks divorce from wife she would get one-time alimony lawfully and also share in husband’s properties under the matrimonial laws prevelant in most of the nations. In the Domestic Violence cases also wife would get hefty compensation in the forms of residence protection, health protection etc.,
In the societies where contract marriage systems is prevalent, there also the wife would be benefited, as at the end of the matrimonial contract or live-in relationship contract, she would get amount as stipulated before getting saparated.
While this is the reality prevealent in the present human societies on the matrimonial issues, the other theoretical factors like emotional disturbance, problems of single living, insecurity for women would be greatly exaggerated to conceal the benefits obtained by the women. After obtaining these compensations women are not barred from getting re-married or to live in the manner as she desired, in any nation. So in these aspects the equality before law for both genders would not be found anywhere. So the publicity that women are getting suffered and discriminated in the matrimonial and family system is mere termagancy of Mrs.Xanthippe, the Socrates wife.
So the ground realities must be accepted by every one especially by woman honestly, instead of being hypocratic in attitude. By dchaitanya
