Moslem Sheikh calls for tolerance
A moslem sheikh in Malawi Sheikh Cahbu has called on other religions to live in harmony with Islam as they spread their teachings.
This is in wake of hate messages that have recently been exchanged between moslems and other religious sects.
He said the development of any country is achieved if there is peace and harmony among its citizens.
There have been reports of hate messages from Islam directed to christians recently which many people fear can cause violence.
The mosl;ems , who usually use UDF ,an opposition party have been very critical of the government.
The President, Dr. Bingu Wa Mutharika is a christian.
People say although moslems are freely spreading their religion , in Moslem countries christians are not allowed to have such freedom.
Most Malawians are christians.
