2 Deputy Inspectors General of Police transferred



Jammu, February 21 (Scoop News) The Government has ordered the transfer of two Deputy Inspectors General of Police (DIGs).


            According to a Government Order issued here today  Danish Rana, DIG IRP Jammu has been transferred and posted as DIG Traffic Jammu vice Kamal Kumar Saini who shall report to PHQ for further posting


Meanwhile Budgam police arrested two drug peddlers from Chadoora and Magam and recovered large quantity of contraband from them besides arresting six gamblers along with bet money.


Chadoora Police apprehended a notorious drug peddler namely Muzaffar Ahmad Rather son of  Akram Rather of  Kultreh, Chadoora at Village Kultreh and recovered 150 kgs of Raw Fukki from his possession. A case FIR No 19/2011 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act was registered in Police station Chadoora.


In another incident, Charas 250 grams was recovered from one Ghulam Mohammad Dar Son in law of Abdul Rehman Kambay of Warihama, Beerwah by Police Station Magam. A case FIR No 28/2011 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act was registered in Police Station Magam.


          Moreover, six gamblers namely Showkat Ahmad Malik son of Mohammad Yasin Malik of  Peerbagh, Tariq Ahmad Shah son of Ali Mohammad of Khan Sahib, Bashir Ahmad Ganie son of  Abdul Aziz Ganie of  Kreshpore, Khan Sahib, Ghulam Mohammad Kumar son of  Saleem Khan of Kreshpora, Khan Sahib and Gulzar Ahmad Tantray son of Satar Tantray R/o Falsal Budgam were arrested along with bet money Rs.9533 from Nadergund Peerbagh by Humhama police. A case FIR No 65/2011 U/S 13 Gambling Act was registered in police Station Budgam.
