2 die, 2 injured in road mishaps in Kashmir



Srinagar, October 14 (Scoop News) -    Two persons died and two others were injured in different road accidents in Kashmir valley.


Police said that a Tractor bearing registration number JK09-4486 turned turtle near Khandiayar, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Baramulla, resulting in on the spot death of Waseem Ahmad Khan son of Mushtaq Ahmad resident of Nagari Boniyar and injuries to Tractor driver Mohammad Rafiq Lone son of Mohammad Subhan resident of Fatehgarh. The injured was hospitalized. The body of the deceased was handed over to legal heirs for last rites. Police has registered a case in this regard.


          In continuation to Road Traffic incident dated 05.10.2011 at Wussan, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Kunzar, Baramulla between Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK04-3354 and Motorcycle bearing registration number JK05A-2336, the injured Javaid Ahmad Sheikh son of Nazir Ahmad Sheikh resident of Karhama Kunzar succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS, Soura.


          An unknown vehicle hit and injured a lady Shameema @ Meema wife of Mohammad Qasim Bakerwal, resident of Kanyal, Jammu presently residing in Anantnag at Sarnal, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Anantnag. The injured lady was hospitalized. Police has registered a case in this regard.     


 


 


2 houses damaged in fire


Fire broke out in the house of Mushtaq Ahmad Ahanger son of Ghulam Hassan, resident of Cheyan, Devsar, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Kulgam, which engulfed the adjacent house of Abdul Ahad Wani son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din. Both the houses were partially damaged in the incident. However, no loss of life or injury was reported in the incident.      


 


Bung cultivation destroyed in South Kashmir


Shopian Police with the assistance of Excise team destroyed Bung cultivation spread over 600 kanals of land in villages Milhora and Vindian, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Shopian, under the supervision of Dy SP Mr Irshad Hussain Rather.


          Meanwhile, Bijbehara Police with the assistance of Excise team destroyed Bung cultivation spread over 98 kanals of land at village Dupatyar, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Bijbehara, Anantnag.
