71 Persons injured in road mishaps in Kashmir



Srinagar, February 28 (Scoop News)- Seventy-one persons were injured in different road accidents across the Kashmir Valley.


Police said that a passenger Bus bearing registration number JKU/6361 collided with an unidentified Bus near Wasikhan Sumbal, Bandipora, falling under the jurisdiction of police station Sumbal, resulting in injures to six passengers. The injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.


          Another passenger Bus bearing registration number JK09/467 on way from Devar to Kupwara turned turtle near Rednag, Kupwara, falling under the jurisdiction of police station Lalpora, resulting in injures to 62 passengers. All the injured were shifted to sub district hospital Kupwara for treatment, among them two passengers namely Abdul Khaliq Chopan son of Subhan resident of Diver and Khursheed Ahmad Shah son of Abdul Ahad resident of Diver Muqam has been referred to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.


          A Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK15/2090 hit and injured a Motorcyclist namely Ajaz Ahmad Wani son of Abdul Rashid Wani resident of Duderhama Ganderbal near main market Kangan, Ganderbal, falling under the jurisdiction of police station Kangan. The injured was shifted to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.


          Another Tata sumo bearing registration number Jk03A/9310 hit and injured a pedestrian Abdul Rashid Gojar son of Mitta Gojar resident of Batnoor Tral near Awantipora on National Highway, falling under the jurisdiction of police station Awantipora. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.


          In a similar incident, a  Maruti Car bearing registration number JK05A/5808 on way from Srinagar to Baramulla hit and injured a pedestrian Sameer Singh resident of Uplina near Khawaja Bagh, Baramulla falling under the jurisdiction of police station Baramulla. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
