Tourist dies on Leh-Manali road

 Srinagar, September 18 (Scoop News)  A tourist died and five other were injured in different road accident across the valley.

Police said that a Pajero bearing registration number MP04CE/2006 driven by Safuddin Sidiqui son of Yasir Sidiqui resident of Pari Bazar Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, House No 01, Gali No 03 met with an accident at Gia Miru on Leh- Manali road, resulting in his on spot death. Leh Police brought dead body to SNM Hospital Leh. A case has been registered in this regard.

Meanwhile, an Army vehicle bearing registration number 02D14395X, TAC number 318/TAC driven by Hawaldar Gopal Kumar hit a Sumo bearing registration number JKO1D/9819 at Helpal, Kupwara, in jurisdiction of Police Station Kupwara, resulting in injuries to 04 passengers travelling in the Sumo. All the Injured were shifted to Sub District hospital Kupwara for treatment. Kupwara Police has registered a case in this regard.

In another accident, a Sumo bearing registration number JK09/1925 hit and injured 25 years old Ghulam Mohidin son of Ghulam Nabi Bhat resident of Lalad, Tarzoo at lalad, in the jurisdiction of Police station Tarzoo, Sopore.
