Airlift stranded persons of Gurez, Machil, Paddar: Speaker

               Jammu, March 14 (Scoop News) –   Speaker,  Mohammad Akbar Lone today directed the Government to make arrangements immediately for airlifting of stranded persons of Gurez, Machil and Paddar.

            He was responding to the points raised by  N. A. Gurezi,  Sajad Kitchloo and  Abdul Haq Khan in the Legislative Assembly today.

            He also directed for undertaking rescue measures in Handwara constituency where land is eroding as reported by Ch, Mohammad Ramzan.

SRTC counters at Airports setup: Akhoon

           In response to issue raised by  Balwant Singh Mankoti, the Minister for Transport and CA&PD  Qamar Ali Akhoon today said that on the persistent demands of the people, the two counters of SRTC, one each at Jammu and Srinagar Airports have been setup for convenience of passengers. However some taxi operators yesterday called on him with the plea operation of bus services from Jammu Airport to Katra was affecting their income, he said.

            He said he will take account of the issue and seek some via media to solve the problems.
