BJP boycotting the J&K tour of Ex-Interlocutors
Jammu,August 31 (Scoop News) - On the inaugural day of the 2-day state working committee meeting of BJP at Udhampur, the party adopted a resolution boycotting the J&K tour of Ex-Interlocutors Daleep Padgonkar.
At a press conference held at the venue of the meet, the resolution was fomally released by State President Shamshr Singh Manhas alongwith National Executive Member & State Chief Spokesperson Dr. Jitendra Singh, State General Secretary Satish Sharma, State Spokesperson Ramesh Arora (Adv.) and State Press Secretary Balbir Ram.
Shamsher Singh Manhas, while talking to the media person, said that the party has given to many sacrifices to keep Jammu and Kashmir as an integral part of India and there is no scope for compromises. Therefore the interlocutors report has no relevant.
Dr. Jitendra Singh who had written the draft of the resolution, said that the party had already rejected the report at its national executive meet in Mumbai on May 24, 2012 and now there was not logic in negotiating about it with the ex-interlocutors when there was no provision to preview or revise it and when the UPA government at the centre and NC led government in J&K was granting undue legitimacy to the tour by ex-interlocutors which could in fact vitiate the anger of the people here against the report.
