BJP redicules Omar’s claims of achievement

Jammu, January 16 (Scoop News) – BJP has dismissed as hollow and rediculous, the tall claims of performance and achievement made by the Omar Abdullah government on the completion of its three years in office.

BJP State President Shamsher Singh Manhas said this while addressing a press conference here today at the party hqrs. State BJP Chief Spokesperson and National Executive Member Dr. Jitendra Singh was also present at the press conference.

Manhas alleged that the booklet released by Omar Abdullah to highlight his achivements of past three years is more of a photo album of Chief Minister’s pictures taken by the state information department and this photo album as well as the pompous function organized to celebrate Omar Abdullah’s socalled achievements was only a publicity stunt done at the cost of public exchequer.

Manhas said that the National Conference-Congress coalition government has proved a failure on all fronts. Moreover, corruption, scams and land encroachment have reached a peak during these three years. The State Vigilance Organization (svo) and State Accoutbility Commission (SAC) are defunct while senior state functionaries including some ministers are openly indulging in loot and birbery. He also referred to NC activist Haji Yousuf  Shah’s mysterious death at the residence of chief minister and demanded CBI inquiry into it.

Manhas said while chief minister is claiming to have generated jobs for youth, his Sher-e-Kashmir employment policy and New Recruitment Policy are nothing but a joke.

Manhas also refuted chief minister’s claims of starting new hydel projects and asked why then there was such serious power crisis. Denying claims about Panchayat elections he said it was meaningless without 73rd & 74th amendments.

Questioning the achievements in health sector, Manhas  said the superspeciality hospital under construction in Jammu was far from completion even after so many years.

Manhas said that instead of counting false achievements, the chief minister should give an account of funds received from the centre.
