Corps Commander stresses on peace and non violence

Srinagar, December 14 (Scoop News) –Chinar Corps Commander, Lieutenant General SA Hasnain today stressed on peace and non violence as the essence of development.
The Corps Commander while welcoming the peace mission of Gandhi Parikrama for Global Peace delegation said that Kashmir was a great example of Sufism and culture of peace where Guru Arjan Dev, Moses, Shivji and above all Islam have lived together for ages. The recent incidents in the valley were minor aberrations. Kashmir is undoubtedly, the crown of India. He assured the participants that army was for Aman.

Earlier a peace mission of Gandhi Parikrama for Global Peace met Chinar Corps Commander, Lieutenant General SA Hasnain and expressed their ultimate desire for peace today in Srinagar.

The 25 member delegation including eight Kashmiris and people from all over India, inspired by the ultimate Gandhian, Nirmala Deshpande, came with a message of tolerance, acceptancy, secularism and peace.

Other people who spoke on the occasion were Karunakaran, Rafiq Fida, Kamran Gandhi, Danish, Rona Puss, Sonaullah, Yakub and Mahajabeen. The underlying message of their speeches was “Insaan ka Insaan se hai Bhai Chara, Yah Hi Paigam Hamara”.

The meeting ended with moist eyes and a hope for unending peace in Kashmir.
