Curfew remained in force for third day in Kashmir



 Srinagar, February 11 (Scoop News) –Curfew remained in force for the third day in major towns of Kashmir valley. The day so far passed off peacefully and the situation is under control. No untoward incident was reported from anywhere, Spokesman of Police said today.


       However, in stray incidents of stone pelting were reported in which two policemen got injured.


 


Meanwhile one among five persons injured at Watergam yesterday succumbs to injuries at SKIMS, today.


       Five person were injured yesterday while tackling a law and order situation at Watergam in the jurisdiction of police station Dangiwacha. Among the injured Ubaid Ahmad Rather son of Mushtaq Ahmad resident of Watergam succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS, today. The body was handed over to his relatives for last rites.


 


In other incident one more body was recovered from river Jehlum at Wangipora, Sumbal, today, who had drowned in a boat capsize mishap yesterday.


The body of Zameer Ahamd Dar son of Abdul Rashid resident of Batwani, Sumbal was recovered from river Jehlum at Wangipora. A boat ferrying people from Batwani to Wangipora, Sumbal capsized yesterday. He is reported to be one of the persons sailing in that boat.
