Div Com orders arrangements for Maha Shivratri

Srinagar, February 14 (Scoop News) –Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon has asked all the Deputy Commissioners and Head of Departments to make arrangements for ensuing Maha Shivratri which is falling on 20th February 2012. Instructions have been issued to Chief Engineer EM&RE and Chief Engineer PHE to ensure electricity and drinking water,  Director CAPD Kashmir has been asked to ensure availability of Nadru in the areas dominated by Pandit community during the festival. Directions have also been issued Joint Director Fisheries to open special sales centres for sale of Trout fish and Dy. Director Horticulture, Planning & Marketing has been asked to open special counters for sale of walnuts.

          Dr. Samoon has conveyed his greetings, in advance, to the Pandit community for Maha Shivratri and hoped the festival will usher in an era of peace and tranquility and amongst the communities.
