Indian seafood export declines in Rupee value; and growth in Dollar terms

It happens due to some variations in Rupee and Dollars terms.

According to MPEDA(Marine Products Export Devolopment Authority) Indian seafood export has recorded a fall of 11.58 per cent in terms of quantity during 2007-2008 and 8.88 per cent in Rupee value but has registered a growth of 2.49 in dollar terms.

MPEDA targeting new markets namely Eastern Europe,South America,South Africa and neibouring countries.Through this there is a big market for seafood industry.
