JK CM approved Rs 194 crore District Annual Plans for Budgam, Shopian and Pulwama

The Chief Minister said that government has earmarked over Rs. 643 crore as matching share capital for the Centrally sponsored schemes to ensure additional funds of about 1800 crore from the Centre this year. “We have also driven home the necessity of allotting Rs. 130 crore to the Centre government under APDRP to complete the sanctioned schemes under this project for distribution and transmission works”, he said adding that Union government has indicated that they are providing the demanded amount to the State government.
Omar said that an amount of Rs. 20 crore as seed money has also been provided to the power development department for the launch of a comprehensive project for improvement, upgradation and construction of HT and LT network in the State. “We are also expecting huge amounts from the Centre under the remapped APDRP”, he said and added that this sector requires focus of attention along with power generation.
The Chief Minister said that he has asked the administration to share the details of State sector schemes and Centrally sponsored programmes with the elected representatives of the people and asked the legislators to monitor these schemes along with the district plan.

Omar announced over Rs. 5 crore worth additionalities for various projects for the Budgam districts. These include Rs. 1 crore for completion of small ongoing schemes, Rs. 50 lakh for Charar-i-Sharief stadium, Rs. 50 lakh for auditorium of government boys high school, Nowgam, Rs 63 lakh for self employment, Rs. 30 lakh for public convenience, Rs. 50 lakh for sports facilities and Rs. 50 lakh for tehsil offices.
The Chief Minister also announced Rs. 10 crore additionalities for Shopian district which included Rs. 3.88 crore for Turkwangam bridge, Rs. 1.50 crore Bijbehara-Shopian road, Rs. 1.64 crore for Shopian bus stand, Rs. 36.25 lakh for Chittergam water supply scheme, Rs. 18 lakh for Haman water supply scheme, Rs. 10 lakh for Sumo stand, Rs. 40 lakh for Sanglu park, Rs. 48 lakh for poultry and animal husbandry development, Rs. 1 crore for Officer’s Hostel, Rs. 20 lakh for development of parks and Rs. 30 lakh for sports facilities.
The Chief Minister also announced additionalities of over Rs. 5 crore for Pulwama district which included Rs. 2.61 crore for circular road project, Rs. 30 lakh for bridge near Jamia Masjid, Rs. 50 lakh for sports facilities, Rs. 65 lakh for construction of mini secretariat, Rs. 1.50 crore for Tahab-Niana-Wachhi road and Rs. 40 lakh for Newa-Pakherpora road project.
The Parliament Members, legislators and other members of the DDBs highlighted various demands of their constituencies and appreciated the Chief Minister’s endeavour to get huge financial assistance for the State and taking the District Development Board meetings himself for speedy finalization of district plans. They reposed faith in Chief Minister’s dynamic and young leadership for ensuring equitable development of all areas in the State.
