JK Minister asks youth to hold legacy of value system high



Jammu, February 28 (Scoop News) – The Minister for Tourism and Culture,  Rigzin Jora has called upon the youth to hold the legacy of their value system high to lead a harmonious and peaceful life.


 The Minister was speaking at an award distribution function organised by the All Ladakh   Student Association Jammu(ALSAJ) to facilitate those who contributed generously towards the calamity fund raised by the association for the Ladakh cloudburst victims.


Besides, hailing the generous help extended by the civil society Jammu towards the calamity fund,    Jora welcomed the social and  moral sense of  ALSAJ  volunteers for taking pains for the people back at their home district in the hour of distress. He asked them to preserve their legacy and spread the message of humanity and love across the state.


The Minister also thanked all those high minded sponsors, donors, volunteers who were   selflessly engaged in helping out the flood affected victims during the worst ever flash floods Leh Ladakh.


Earlier, speaking on the occasion, President, ALSAJ,  Dorje Angchuk welcomed all those individuals, organizations and groups by coming forward to help the Leh victims, in cash and kind.


“My association is highly thankful to all of you for your generous contribution to our association morally, financially and physically”, he said.


A colourful cultural programme was also presented by the Ladakhi students on the occasion.


Later, the minister, on behalf of the ALSAJ, honoured those who contributed in the calamity fund raised by the association.


 Prominent among those who were honoured on the occasion included Mr Wahid, DYSP, Sanjay Sharma Sanjeev Munshi (Station Manage Jammu Airport Indian Airlines).  Oma paraksh Sharma  Mukesh ,  Sarabjeet Singh and many others.
