Omar,Mehbooba condemn killing of police personnel



Jammu, March 2 (Scoop News) -  Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has condemned the killing of police personnel at Handwara and described it an act of cowards.

            In a condolence message to the bereaved families the Chief Minister conveyed his sympathy and solidarity with them and prayed for peace to the departed soils.


President of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mehbooba Mufti has also strongly condemned killing to two constables ofJammu and Kashmir at Handwara area.


In a statement issued here today Ms Mufti strongly condemned these killings and expressed her grief with the bereaved families.


It may be mentioned that on Saturday  noon militants gunned down two police personal of JK Police at Bus Stand in Handwara of North Kashmir. Police men who were discharging their duties in Handwara attacked by militants.


They were identified as Constable Santosh Singh son of Tara Singh resident of Katiyal Kathua No. 285/AP 13th Bn. was of 26 years of age and was attached with IRP 16th Bn. presently.,Constable Azad Chand son of Purab Chand resident of Ghangwalt, Chenani District Udhampur, Belt No. 199/AP 13th Bn. was of 27 years of age and was also attached IRP 16th Bn. presently. Both of them had joined police in 2009.
