Peerzada says no mass promotion,to conduct exams as per schedule
Sriinagar,August 16 (Scoop News) - The annual examinations for class 10th and 12th regular candidates of Kashmir Division shall be conducted well in time by the J&K Board of School Education (J&KBOSE) and there will be no mass promotion.
This decision was taken in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Minister for Education and Public Enterprises, Peerzada Mohammad Syeed here today.
Threadbare discussions were held with regard to various issues. It was decided that the date for submission of admission cum examination forms for the classes 10th and 12th regular candidates of Kashmir Division has been extended up to September 14, 2010.
The meeting also decided that there will be single paper scheme for the said classes. It was further revealed that there will be ample choice to the students in the ensuing Secondary and Higher Secondary annual examination for
The Minister appealed the parents not to pay heed on the rumours regarding mass promotion of students and send their wards to attend the schools regularly in order to complete the syllabus. He also directed the teaching and non-teaching staff for conducting extra classes.
The meeting was attended by Secretary Education, G. A. Peer, Chairman, J&K BOSE, Prof. Desh Bandhu Gupta, Secretary, J&K BOSE, Dr. Sheikh Bashir Ahmad and other senior officers of the department.
