Principal Secretary Power reviews power sector

Srinagar, October 26(Scoop News) – Principal Secretary Power Development department,  Sudhanshu Panday has requested the general public for proper utilization of electricity particularly during ensuing winter.

            He was speaking at a reviewing meeting of centrally sponsored RAPDRP scheme at an officers meeting here today. He said that toll free numbers will be published soon by which people can register their grievances suggestions to the department for their redressal.

            He said that people should come forward and inform the department about the power theft and accordingly action would be taken against guilty. He further said that the suggestions for improving the power scenario in the State will be appreciated. He appealed people for their cooperation in ensuring smooth supply of electricity during winter.

            It was decided in the meeting that toll free numbers will be published through electronic and print media in the State by November 05, 2012.

            The meeting was attended by Development Commissioner Power,  Manzoor Salroo, Chief Engineer M&RE,  Mohammad Muzaffar Mattoo, Director Planning PDD,  Reyaz Ahmad, Chief Executive Officer RAPDRP,  Ajaz Dar, Managing Director JKPCC, representatives of WIPRO CMC
