ROBO-HOPPER

Swiss researchers have developed a new robot inspired by grasshopper. The minuscule seven grams robot unveiled by researchers from laboratory of intelligent systems at EPEL at the IEEE international conferance on Robotie and Automation in Passadena, California, can jumps 1.4m 10 times farther for its size and weight than any existing jumping robot, it may be fitted out with tiny seensors to explore rough, inaccessible terrain or to aid in rescue operations.
