Russia Seeks Allies
Few rumors from Russian internal sources showed up more often than one that said that Russia is seeking for allies to strengthen their military assets after United States signed and agreement with Poland for the missile shield. A few weeks ago, after the signing, Russia stated that they might strike Poland with nuclear weapon. This caused tension in the countries around the Baltic sea. Before, a Russian daily newspaper wrote down that Russia intended to reactivate their old military base in Cuba for their strategic bomber operation. Later, the newspaper apologized for the “false” information even though they admitted that the statement was coming from the high ranking officer in the military.
Nearly a week later, the Georgia and South Ossetia conflict launched. Russian combat troops and combat vehicles entered South Osettia in order to support South Osettia's troops. Some cities in Georgia got hit back by Russia bombs and missiles for their action. A thousand civilian lives were lost. The West called both nations to cease fire. After reaching a ceasefire agreement, the Georgian military combat troops pulled back, but the Russians remained near the entrance access to South Osettia and Abkhazia. Only yesterday, Friday morning Georgia local time, massive Russian troops withdrawed and pulled back to the early point before the conflict began. But Russia stated that this drawback is just temporary. They wanted a few small units of troops to guide at the road entrance to South Ossetia.
A second rumor surfaced early yesterday morning that Russia might settle the missile shield on Damscus, Syria while the Syrian president visited Russia to sign a deal for purchasing some sort of military product from Russia. Russia said that they will not sell surface-surface missiles that might threat the mid-east. This settlement of Russian medium range surface-surface missiles that might threaten the Israel force are rumors only, said the SANA, Syria news office. Meanwhile, a Russian news office, Interfax wrote that Syria just intended to buy SAM site~Pantsyr-S1; Medium range SAM~Buk-M1 and jet fighters.
Here are few list of nations that have a close relationship with Russia and might potential become their huge ally:
- North Korea
The U.S. said that they will prevent direct confrontation and sought a peaceful way to handle this tension. The U.S. is also having problems in funding another huge war campaign.
Investors earlier withdrew their money out from Russia after Russia and Georgia conflict. Billions of capital left the country. Meanwhile, the price of oil worldwide is going to decrease every day. The U.S. might enter the 3rd phase of economic great recession next year, according to Warren Buffet, the investor and millionaire.
Inflation is also high in many regions ie:
- America nearly 10%
- England nearly 5%
- African nearly 16%
- India nearly 23%
Much over this inflation is caused by many factory reducing their employees due to slow rates of production. Consumer Purchase power of parity around the world is low.
