Role of Women in formation of society
Baramulla/Srinagar,July 25 (Scoop News) - The Government Degree College for Women, Baramulla in collaboration with Idhara Falah-u-Darain, Baramulla organized a guest lecturer in the Main Hall of the College. The lecture was delivered by guest faculty Assistant Professor Islamic Studies, Aligarh Muslim University, Dr. Ubaidulla Fahad on the theme "Status of Women in Islam".
The speaker highlighted the importance of women in Muslim Society and attempted to clear many prevailing confusions relating to the role of Muslim women in public life. He made it clear to the audience that Islam wants a competent and active women force and it is men and women that form a society. He exhorted the students present in the hall to gear up efforts towards the evolution of a morally and educationally model society.
The Principal of the College, Prof. G.Q. Lone in his address to the students expressed his satisfaction with regard to contribution of women in net value addition while working at home as well as in different walks of public life. He encouraged students to work hard for full and effective utilization of available resources to form a better society.
