Service of humanity is the service of God
Srinagar, October 21 (Scoop News) - Reiterating the government’s resolve to fulfill peoples’ aspirations and development needs, the Advisor to Chief Minister, Mubarak Gul today said that several developmental schemes have been launched by the government for the upgradation of economic standard of the people of the State and for the purpose several innovative and exemplary initiatives have been taken to uplift the socio economic scenario of the State.
Addressing the large gathering in a cheque distribution function organised by the J&K Al-Noor Yateem Trust Bemina run for widows, downtrodden and handicapped people, Gul said that service of the humanity is the service of God, he added that Government headed by Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah is committed to help needy, destitute, he asks people to come forward and take part in such types of social duties to uplift the handicapped, orphans widows and down trodden.
Recalling the role played by the Mother Teresa for the betterment and welfare of the handicapped and orphanage persons, Mr Gul said that revolutionary steps have been taken by Her Trust for the betterment of the handicapped and orphans in our State shall be remembered all the times to come.
Gul distributed 132 cheques of Rs. 400 each to the needy persons hailing from different parts of the Valley. He also praised the Chairman, Members of Al-Noor Trust for their work and contribution done by them for the welfare of the handicapped, orphans, widows and downtrodden people of State.
The function was among others attended by the Sessions Judge (Retd) Justice Nazir Fida Hussain, Dr. Sheikh Burhan and prominent senior citizens of the area.
