Six LeT terrorist gunned down in Rajouri of Jammu division

Jammu April,01 (Scoop News) - J&K Police and Security Forces achieved a major success by eliminating six dreaded terrorist of Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) outfit in a fierce gun battle in the mountainous districts of Rajouri today.

Police Said that acting on intelligence inputs that a group of terrorists are hiding in general area of Bagla at Triyath under the jurisdiction of Police Station Dharamsal .Policemen /Component Police from Rajouri and Dharmshal launched a search operation with the assistance of 54 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) early in the morning.

According to Police,the area was cordoned and during search initially contact was established with the hiding terrorists who were asked to surrender. In response, they opened indiscriminate firing and lobbed grenades towards the troops thereby trigging a fierce encounter. The gun battle continued for several hours resulting into the death of six foreign mercenaries in the encounter.

The body of the slain terrorist have been retrieved from the encounter site and their identity have not been ascertained so far. However, reportedly one of them have been identified as Aslam alias Qasim s/o Gh.Mohd r/o Thanol Reasi and other five are believed to be foreign mercenaries .

Huge cache have been recovered from the encounter site

The killing of these terrorists is a great success to the Police/Security forces, as it will give a severe blow to the outfit in the said area.
