Zeashta Devi Committee calls on JK Governor



 


Jammu, April 18 (Scoop News) – A deputation of the Zeashta Devi Prabandhak Committee, Srinagar called on the Governor, N. N. Vohra, at Raj Bhavan here today and presented a Memorandum of their demands to him.


 


The demands presented to the Governor by the delegation, led by the President of the Prabandhak Committee,  B. B. Bhat, included, interalia, setting up of a Police Post at Zeashta Devi Mandir, Srinagar, provision of a medical camp at the Mandir during the summer months, illumination of the road leading to the temple and plying of a suitable transport service from Lal Chowk to Zeashta Devi Temple.


 


The other demands highlighted by the deputation included setting up of a Langar during Shri Amarnathji Yatra period, besides provision of water proof shamyana, tents, etc. for the convenience of the devotees and the pilgrims visiting this temple.


 


The Governor enquired from the deputationists about the infrastructure facilities which were presently available at the temple for the visiting devotees and assured that their demands would be taken up with the District authorities and their initiatives would also be supported.       


 


The Principal Secretary to the Governor, R. K. Goyal was present on the occasion.
