Obert Madondo is a Zimbabwean writer, blogger, political/social commentator and journalist living in Toronto. Before fleeing Robert Mugabe's regime in Zimbabwe in 2000, Obert worked as a speechwriter and personal assistant to Margaret Dongo, that country's first post-independence female independent Member of Parliament. He had also worked with various political and human rights movements.
Recently, Obert's opinion and analysis on Zimbabwe has appeared in the Ottawa Citizen and The Zimbabwe Independent newspapers in Canada and Zimbabwe, respectively.
