Sparrow: Democratic pundit Hilary Rosen recently said that you "never worked a day" in your life. Is this true?
Ann: That's nonsense! I have worked several days in my life. For example, on May 25, 1971, I furiously baked scones for a bake sale benefiting our local fire department -- which I helped organize! On October 19, 1987, I spent the entire day preparing a luncheon for my garden club. I could go on and on.
Sparrow: Thank you. How did you feel about Rosen's allegation?
Ann: I was hurt, to be honest. They treat people like me and Mitt -- people who are worth $231 million -- as if we were freaks or lepers! [She begins to weep.] I am a human being...
Sparrow: I appreciate your honesty.
