Violent racial attacks on Indian students in Australia is wrong
Indian students are the latest hit to be hit by Australians. The curry bashing as it is termed, has turned to its worst; so much the Indian students has staged a Gandhigiri, or non-violent protest, in Australia .
According to the Times of India, the Federation of India Students in Australia (FISA) organized a "peace rally" in Melbourne on Sunday to protest continuing assaults on Indian students in the nation in the past month. The Economic Times also reports that Indian students all over the world have been using social networking sites like Facebook and Orkut to condemn the attacks.
It is said that Indians are the target because they travel in groups and speak loudly
They speak in Hindi and they lack ettiquette. While I agree with it, I dont think that Indians should be attacked and physically hurt .
While I ask the Australian Government to give protection to indians the Indian students should also do their bit . They should try to go mainstream and try to mix with other students. They should also broaden their outlook and also adapt the Australlian culture .
Personally I also feel they should do a lot of voluntary work and I am sure the Australian society will accept them.
