Computers Threaten Children’s Mental and Physical Health
In spite of the greater change that the computer age has brought to the world, it cannot be denied that it is also one of the reasons why human activities – especially children's – have gradually veered away from the normal lifestyle of living.
Instead of playing outdoors as the normal kids should do like running in the backyard or playing hide-and-seek and other things that needs physical activity, today’s children can be seen in computer shops spending lots of time and money.
As a result, children sitting in front of computer all day long are at greater risk of getting health problems than those who are playing outdoors. In comparison, children who are physically active are all the more faster in all the things that comes before them. Their mental ability is much higher, which makes them easily adjust to any given time or situation.
In contrast, computer-addicted children are prone to obesity, high blood pressure, blurred eyes and other ailments associated with computers. Worse, these children are mentally unstable and easily annoyed caused by violent computer games. And last but not least, they become “give-me-more-money” brats.
