Delhi police did a commendable job.
An alleged gangster and murderer Sandeep Chaiianiya was arrested after an encounter by the Delhi Police. The encounter took place in Sector 25 of Rohini area in Delhi and after an exchange of gunfire between the Gangster, his entourage and the police, the gangster finally surrendered to the heavily armed police team. The team was headed by a station officer and consisted of more than 25 personnel.
Police got a lead through their sources that the gangster was putting up in a certain house. He and his gang were carousing all the night. They played music at a very high volume and were disturbing the neighbors. Some days back the said gangster had killed one person and injured several in a ceremony over a tiff for not playing the music of his choice. He reportedly was seen withdrawing a large amount of cash from ICICI bank ATM, recently opened at sector 24 Rohini. He was accompanied by a middle aged lady. The deposit canvassing agent had approached him with a request to open account in the bank, he sarcastically replied saying that he himself was a mobile bank and would open her an account at zero balance without any identification.
The alleged gangster is wanted as a suspect in a numeber of more murder, burglary and arson cases by the Delhi and Haryana police. He had a prize of rupees fifty thousand on his head.
The clean operation of arresting the gangster with accurate precision was appreciated by one and all. The said gangster tried to resist arrest by firing gun shots at the police party initially but realising that the resistance could result in his death in the encounter he surrendered before the police with his two other gang members. Police is now investigating the matter and trying to develop further leads to arrest all his gang members and the house owner who had provided them the premises. The arrested members of the gang can provide vital clues about the recent criminal incidents taking place in and around Delhi and NCR.
