Restricted hands command glory in jail

Reading the articles on the drug cartel's activities and the on-going killings related to the illegal drug distribution across the border into the United States is not only hair-raising experience, but a grim example of how people who have enriched themselves by destroying other people's lives can muster enough courage to flaunt their macabre guts and influences and belittling the government's efforts to stop their illegal sale into the open markets.

What makes some people sick is that the illegal flow of drugs into the domestic markets doesn't stop, despite the government's non-stop crackdowns against those who have a hand in their illegal disposal. Arrests were made and those responsible are now languising in US jails, after having been repatriated from their home countries. However, it is puzzling to know that even those in jail can still exhaust all  means to stretch their hands into the streets and steer the illegal drug  operations outside with impunity.

I do think that it only happens in developing countries where the jail system is poorly maintained and overcrowded. Not in the United States or any European country for that matter, where each jail cell is monitored 24-hours by surveillance cameras to find out exactly what they are doing inside, even during ungodly hours of the night. Strongly, I don't cast a doubt considering that even jail personnel and inmates are vulnerable to all sorts of temptations, knowing that some inmates are members of street gangs who once served as their runners and cohorts. In developing countries, the jail guards or wardens are poorly paid. Therefore, there is a strong inclination for them to be bought, which is not uncommon in the police world.

How, many police commanders were sacked because their hunger for illegal money became so intense that they failed to control their personal mania. This is a gamble that cannot be tolerated nor sacrificed. However, the one with the strongest will to stay away and not be cowed by any financial temptations is considered to be up with intelligence and discipline.

But the illegal drug business has been on earth for a long time now. In short, they have built a separate community that is fitted into another community, whose established laws are ignored because the sinister guys only follow the dictates of those they had learned to be subservient to in exchange for financial favors. It's no wonder why until now, the illegal business goes on and on to the constirnation of law enforcement authorities concerned.

While it was brazen act of allowing people to enjoy from the fruits of an illegal operation and sip the nectars of their huge revenues, some regular patrons have begun to nod their heads in agreement that coming to grips with reality is the ultimate satisfaction they could get in return for being loyal friends to their invisible masters. At least, they don't have to beg to sustain their hunger for the much needed stuff because someone, somewhere is always ready to extend his long arms to give them a tight embrace and quench their hunger in a distance. And no matter how morally and legally wrong it is to subscribe tothis kind of social tenets, they don't care anymore for as long as the excitement continues to bedevil their wishes for a new life.

When wild dreams are transformed into sad realities, the rationality of man's will to keep up and make the most out of his remaining existence is partly defeated. This, of course, is farfetched from the minds of those who feel betrayed by the luxury of a temporal enjoyment vis-a-vis the spiritual importance of man's mental, physical and spiritual fervors. It's only then can we say that life is what we make it. Even if our souls are in so much agony for the sins we committed, in exchange for  totally ignoring what is real in essence. And when everyone's mind is numbed by the effects of earthly joys can we begin to realize how superficial things ensnared us into wrong beliefs, with no way of possible exit but death.
