Sachin’s Sleuths Beat Shahrukh’s Riders
Sachin Tendulkar’s Mumbai Indians had a great evening yesterday, when they crushed Shahrukh’s Kolkata Knight Riders by a huge margin of 92 runs. The Mumbai Indians had a rollicking start to their innings. Batting first, they were off to a flying start when Tendulkar in the company of Sanath Jaysuriya made merry off the Knight Riders’ bowling attack, hitting the ball almost at will to all parts of the ground.
Sachin Tendulkar was at his belligerent best hitting 6 fours and 4 sixes in his score of 68 runs, which he scored in just 45 balls. Sanath Jaysuriya was also in great touch, as he also smashed 4 sixes in his 52 runs, which he scored of just 32 deliveries. Together, they both guide the Mumbai Indians to 187-6; the highest score of IPL season-2.
In reply, the Knight Riders had no answer to the duo pace attack of Mumbai Indians led by the vintage Zaheer Khan and the fast and furious Lasith Malinga. Chasing the highest total of IPL 2, the Knight Riders were bundled out for a paltry 95 runs; conceding the match to Mumbai Indians by a massive 92 runs.
