EU Commission will investigate organ trafficking in Kosovo

Dutch medical research center  will lead an international investigation into human organ trafficking, funded by the European Commission.

The investigation, in which will participate Bulgaria, Romania, Sweden and Spain, will last for three years.

European prosecutors are flagged for illegal transplantations done in Kosovo in May 2008 and several suspects were arrested in Israel.

Meanwhile, a report of the Council of Europe, which appeared in December 2010, accused Kosovo Prime Minister Hashim Thaci of involvement in schemes for organ trafficking.
